Ukraine election: Early exit poll points to Zelensky and Poroshenko run-off in April



The early national exit poll following today's presidential election vote suggests comedian Volodymyr Zelensky will face incumbent Petro Poroshenko in a run-off on 21 April, according to various media reports. The result is consistent with some of the recent opinion polls.

Zelensky won with 30.4% of the vote. Although this was not enough to win outright, he possibly achieved a higher level of support than the opinion polls had indicated, with a 12-point lead over Poroshenko, who was second with 17.8% of the vote. Tymoshenko appears to have come a close third, with 14.2% of the vote, and looks to have been eliminated...
